Ford Anglia 1964 belongs to the fourth generation of Ford Anglia model. This last generation was produced under the mark 105E from 1959 to 1967.
Engeneers developed for this car a bright design with the back slope of the rear pillar of the roof. Unlike previous generations of the car, the fourth-generation of Ford Anglia did not have a four-door version. However, this did not become a problem, since until 1961 the old generation of Anglia in the four-door version was still produced.
In addition to the memorable appearance Ford Anglia 1964 had a new features in the technical part. The car had a brand-new liter engine with a top valve arrangement (today’s standard), a four-speed gearbox (previously three-speed boxes were used) and electric windshield wipers (previously manual).
The basic configuration of Anglia had a narrow painted radiator grille and a simplified finish. Most of the surviving vehicles are deLuxe complete sets with a wide chrome grille and moldings on the wings.
With the new engine Ford Anglia 1964 could accelerate up to 118.8 km / h. It took 26.9 seconds to accelerate up to 97 km / h. The fuel consumption was 6.86 liters on 100 km.
In 1967 Ford Anglia was replaced by the legendary Ford Escort.
This model is considered more than successful. During the whole history 1’594’486 cars of Ford Anglia were produced.
