Nissan 300ZX 1996 is a sports car which was produced by the Japanese concern Nissan Motors. Production of the Nissan 300ZX started in 1983. In Japan, the model was sold under the name of Nissan Fairlady Z. The car was assembled at a factory in the Japanese city of Hiratsuka. Initially, the Nissan 300ZX was presented in the coupe, but then there was another type of body – a cabriolet. Its length was 4520 millimeters, width – 1800 millimeters, height – 1255 millimeters. The minimum volume of the luggage compartment is 326 liters.

Over the appearance of the car worked Kazumasu Takagi. High levels of aerodynamics were achieved thanks to the streamlined body shape, the front pillars, a small protrusion on the luggage compartment lid. The car is equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, cassette player, central lock, heated rear window, anti-lock brakes, two types of airbags and other useful options.

 

Under the hood the Nissan 300ZX 1996 has a V-shaped six-cylinder 3.0-liter 24-valve engine with two upper camshafts and a variable valve timing system. The motor with atmospheric supercharging develops a power of 222 hp. (268 Nm). It workes paired with a 4-speed automatic gearbox and rear-wheel drive. The maximum speed is 250 kilometers per hour.

The bright design, decent equipment and powerful technical characteristics of the Nissan 300ZX 1996 have been recognized by many prestigious awards. Among them, the award “Best foreign car” according to the edition of Motor Trend. Cars in all trim levels has high-quality leather upholstery and an automatic climate control system. Those that were delivered to the US market had a standard airbag for the driver and front passenger.

The gearbox was modified in accordance with the capabilities of the car. It did not cause jerks and made it possible to quickly switch gears. Buyers could choose either a 5-speed mechanics or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The traction is transmitted to the rear wheels through a differential with increased internal resistance. This provides better grip of the wheels with the road. In addition to the coupe Nissan 300ZX 1996 the convertible was also produced. The overall dimensions of the model depend on the modification. So, the wheelbase of the coupe is 2 450 mm, and in the version with the landing formula 2 + 2 – already 2 570 mm.

Double versions have a total length of 4,305 mm and a width of 1,790 mm. Quadruple – 4 520 and 1 800 millimeters, respectively. The height of convertibles is from 1,222 to 1,237 mm, and the coupe is from 1,250 to 1,255. The price of the new Nissan 300ZX Z32 at the time of the start of sales in 1989 was approximately $ 30,000. In the last year of release, it rose to $ 50,000. The appreciation of the Japanese yen and the change in demand for SUVs in the mid-1990s led to a drop in demand for this model, and in 2000 its release was discontinued.
