Chevrolet Caprice 2005 review
The Chevrolet Caprice was a full-size sedan produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors from 1966 to 1996, and from 2011 to 2017. The 2005 model was the final year of production for the fourth-generation Caprice, which had been in production since 1991.
The 2005 Caprice was available in three trim levels: the base model, the LS, and the LTZ. All models were powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine that produced 260 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. The base model came equipped with features such as air conditioning, a CD player, and power windows and locks, while the LS added features like leather seats and a six-speaker sound system. The top-of-the-line LTZ trim added even more luxury features, such as a power sunroof and a premium Bose sound system.
One of the standout features of the 2005 Caprice was its spacious interior, which provided plenty of room for passengers and cargo. The trunk had a capacity of over 20 cubic feet, making it one of the largest in its class. The Caprice also had a comfortable ride and strong performance, thanks to its V8 engine and rear-wheel drive platform.
While the 2005 Caprice was generally well-regarded by critics and consumers, it did have some drawbacks. Fuel economy was not a strong point, with the Caprice getting an EPA-estimated 16 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
