Fiat Uno 2000 is mini-car, created by Fiat company. It debuted in March 1983 in Geneva. Uno remained the most popular car on the Apennine peninsula for more than ten years. Fiat Uno was taken out of production in Italy in May 1995 and transferred for production to the Polish Fiat plant Auto Poland SA (former FSM) in Bielsko-Biala, the Turkish division of TOFAÅž, and the Egyptian branch El Nasr, where these models were produced until 2014. In Italy Fiat Uno was replaced by the heir Fiat Punto.
The car got such popularity that a year after its appearance, Brazil bought a license for its production and began to produce it. Initially it was also called Fiat Uno, but from the beginning of the 90s it was renamed to Fiat Mille, which was produced until 2013. The engines were the same as the Uno had, but there were not turbocharged engines. Versions for the Brazilian market traditionally can work not only on gasoline, but also on ethanol.
During its existence in Brazil it was produced 2 million Uno (Mille). In addition, modernized versions of Fiat Mille Fire (the export name Uno) are being assembled at the Brazilian FIAT plant in Betim-Minas Giraesh since 2004. This brand is produced in Brazil since 1984 and has already undergone the 7th update.
