Honda Stream 2013 is the second generation of Stream compact minivans with three rows of seats. In the second generation the car became even more comfortable and convenient to operate. The height of the body is 1545 mm in the front-wheel drive version. Such a reduced center of gravity contributes to better stability of the car.
In the basic configuration the car is equipped with an power pack, air conditioning, steering column and tinted windows. There is also a large selection of additional options: hard drive navigation, sunroof, alloy wheels, xenon headlights, cruise control, anti-theft system, rear-view camera, engine start with buttons, power seats, aero parts, etc.
Honda Stream 2013 has a 1.8 liter engine R18A (SOHC16) with a power of 140 hp. It is offered with a 5-speed automatic transmission, including an all-wheel drive variant. For some of the more expensive RSZ and G-series variants a two-liter SOHC16 engine with four cylinders of the R20A model is used. Its power for environmental reasons has become slightly more modest than the two-liter K20A unit of the previous generation – 150 hp. against 154-158 hp. This motor is equipped with an “automatic” or “variator”. And in the first case we are talking only about modifications with a full drive.
Suspension of Honda Stream has retained the type of construction of the previous generation – shock absorbers in front and a double wishbone behind. Stream was created as a car with sports-oriented characteristics. With the same gauge (1470 mm) the wheelbase of the car has become even larger – 2740 mm (increased by another 20 mm). It is better reflected in stability. The ground clearance remained 150 mm.
Stream safety was significantly improved. The first generation received five stars out of six for protecting the driver and front passenger in the tests of NASVA (Japan). And Honda Stream 2013 deserved six stars in both positions. The basic version, which was equipped with ABS, EBD and Brake Assist systems, front driver and front passenger airbags, seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters, participated in the tests. In the maximum equipment, Stream offers an even higher level of protection. These are side airbags and curtain airbags, an electronic stability control system, an anti-slip system.
Honda Stream 2013 of second generation continued the “sports theme” inherent in many cars of the brand Honda. In this case, the buyer can choose the version he needs for the required needs – with a different transmission, engine and even a different number of seats. Fortunately, a broad proposal for this generation makes it easy to make this choice.
