Isuzu Panther 2012 was build espessially for Asian market. It is the model with 5-door sport-utility wagon body and Line-4 2499 cm3 / 152.3 cui engine size, 59 kW / 80 PS / 79 hp (JIS net) of power, 5-speed manual powertrain. This Isuzu would accelerate 0-60 mph in 19.6 sec, 0-100 km/h in 21.2 sec and quarter mile time is 21.4 sec.
Isuzu is a Japanese automotive company, one of the world’s largest producers of medium and heavy trucks and buses.
The beginning of Isuzu Corporation was the formation in 1916 of the industrial group Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding and Engineering Co. First, the company began to produce cars according to the model of the English “Wolseley”. And in 2 years, i.е. in 1918, the first trucks were put into production. The first model of the cargo line was A-9.
The development of the company led to the emergence of an integral Isuzu design at the Ishikawajima Automotive Works in 1928. Then a new series of Sumida trucks was launched. One of its models bore the name Isuzu, borrowed from a small sacred Japanese river.
In 1933 Ishikawajima Automotive Works merged into a production alliance with Dot Automobile Manufacturing Inc. The association was named Automobile Industries Co., Ltd. Isuzu trucks were left at the request of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Japan. A year later, Automobile Industries Co., Ltd. became the founder of the committee, engaged in research issues related to diesel engines. These studies were part of the policy of Japanese President Tomonosuke Kano. Thanks to the research, a real breakthrough was made in the history of the diesel engine. In 1936 the first Japanese diesel engine DA6, having an air cooling system, was designed and manufactured. In 1937 Tokyo Automobile Industries Co., Ltd. was established.
At the end of the Second World War, namely in October 1945, the company resumed the production of two models of trucks – the diesel TU60 and the petrol TX40. Also a special role in the restoration of post-war Japan was played by TX61.
The definitive name of Isuzu Motors Limited appeared in 1949.
