The Jetour brand, part of the Chery company, officially debuted in Russia last summer. And the first model on our market was the Jetour X90 Plus. This large crossover based on the Chery Tiggo 8 is offered only with gasoline engines. Meanwhile, at home, the Jetour X90 underwent a large-scale upgrade and became the firstborn of a separate family.
The full name of the car is Jetour Shanhai L9, where the prefix Shanhai denotes belonging to the range of electrified cars, for which a separate emblem has even been invented. The original Jetour X90 can be identified by the shape of the sidewalls with a characteristic relief, and there are only cosmetic changes on the stern. But the Shanhai L9 has tried on a new corporate design concept for the front.
The massive large-mesh radiator grille has a luminous frame, and is “covered” with a strip of running lights on top. The main headlights are installed below. There is an adaptive cruise control radar under the grille – it is expected that the L9 will have a second—level autopilot. The length of the machine is 4862 mm.
The seven-seat cabin has also undergone major changes, the architecture of the front console has been completely revised. Two separate displays of the dashboard and multimedia system took the place of the dual panoramic screen. There is no separate climate control screen anymore: the settings are hidden in the menu, but there is also a button block for basic functions. The list of options is crowned with a panoramic roof and Sony audio system, the interior is offered in three colors of execution.
The main technical feature of the Shanhai family is a hybrid power plant. It is almost the same as that of the familiar crossover Chery Tiggo 8 Pro e+, and includes a 1.5 turbo engine (156 hp, 220 Nm), two electric motors with a total peak power of 270 hp and a two-stage DHT transmission (Tiggo has a three-stage one). The total power of the power plant is 427 hp, but the drive is only front.
Such a bundle provides a large crossover acceleration to “hundreds” in 7.8 seconds, the maximum speed is 180 km / h. But the traction battery with a capacity of 38.9 kWh allows you to drive up to 108 km on the CLTC cycle, and the passport fuel consumption is only 1.5 liters / 100 km.
Jetour Shanhai L6
Jetour Shanhai L9 will appear on the Chinese market at the very end of the year. And then the second model of the new range will be released — the Jetour Shanhai L6 hybrid SUV, made on the basis of the Jetour Dashing car we know.
