The acceptance of orders for Bugatti Chiron hypercars was discontinued at the beginning of 2022: the entire planned circulation of 500 cars has been reserved, and now the company is only fulfilling these requests, and there are literally several dozen copies left to build. But among these five hundred hypercars there are interesting and unique cars, modified by the Bugatti Sur Mesure division according to individual projects. Now another similar car called Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 57 One of One has been declassified. It is styled after the Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic1934.
There is a very curious story behind the creation of this special version. The customer turned out to be a 70-year—old lady who twenty years ago saw for the first time the Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic car of 1934 – and he deeply sunk into her soul. It is not surprising, because this famous sports car regularly gets into the lists of the most beautiful and elegant cars of all time. And so, recently, her husband invited her on a trip to the French city of Molsem, where the Bugatti factory is located. There he made her an offer… to create a custom-made Chiron of her dreams. Of course, the legendary Atlantic served as a source of inspiration.
In the style of the 1934 car, a polished radiator grille and an enlarged “ridge” above the engine compartment are made. But the most important feature, of course, was the light blue color of the body. For the sake of an exact match to the original, Bugatti representatives even flew to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, where the Atlantic, which the customer admired, was exhibited. And although the body plumage remained standard, the Chiron played with new facets in a new color without the use of black inserts.
The original wheels also combine a blue color and a chrome finish. A hand-drawn graceful silhouette of a 1934 car flaunts on the wing, the nameplates “57” and “One of One” complete the image. The interior is decorated with Gaucho leather, decorated with commemorative dies and embroidery on the doors.
The technique of the Super Sport version has remained standard. That is, the coupe has a W16 engine with four turbochargers with a capacity of 1600 hp. The hypercar accelerates to 100 km / h in 2.4 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 440 km/ h. A regular Chiron Super Sport cost from 3.2 million euros, but the price of an individual Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 57 One of One, of course, has not been announced. After all, gifts to loved ones are priceless, right?
