Digest of the day: Updated Nissan Rogue, Leaks from China and other industry events

As part of the transition to the new model year, the Nissan Rogue crossover, that is, the American version of the X-Trail model, has been slightly updated. Among the changes — new bumper, radiator grille, rear optics and wheels. Also, several new shades have been added to the color palette. In the older versions, Google services pre-installed in the head unit appeared. The power unit has not changed — it is a turbotroika 1.5 (204 hp) with a variator. The updated Rogue will go on sale early next year.

Simultaneously with the photos of the Volvo EM90 minivan, the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Digitalization published certification images of several more cars. One of the most interesting is the large crossover AITO M 9 by Seres, which will soon enter the Chinese market in two versions: an electric car and a sequential hybrid. Its length is 5230 mm, width — 1999 mm, height — 1800 mm, and wheelbase — 3110 mm. A one—and-a-half-liter gasoline engine used as a generator is installed under the hood of the hybrid. The electric filling of the two versions is the same: an electric motor with a capacity of 218 hp is installed on the front axle, 313 hp on the rear. The official presentation of the AITO M9 is expected before the end of the year.

The Leapmotor C 10 crossover, already presented at the recent Munich Auto Show, is certified in China. The car is 4739 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2825 mm, it is built on the Leap 3.0 platform and is equipped with one electric motor with a capacity of 231 hp. The traction battery is lithium—iron-phosphate. Leapmotor C10 is aimed primarily at export markets: sales are expected in Europe and the Middle East.

FAW is preparing to launch the Hongqi EH 7 electric car on the market. A large (almost five meters in length) sedan with a three-meter wheelbase will be offered both in a rear—wheel drive version with one 344-horsepower electric motor, and in an all-wheel drive, which has a 275 hp motor added in front. The maximum speed is 190 km/h. The manufacturer plans to supply EH7 to Europe as well. It is possible that sooner or later the model will appear in Russian Hongqi dealerships.

Toyota has published teasers of two concept cars that will be shown at the Japan Mobility Show (as the Tokyo Motor Show is now called). Toyota FT-3e is a crossover with a dynamic silhouette. A “running line” is installed on its body, which will be able to show basic information about the condition of the car. The second concept is the Toyota FT—Se sports car, which is being created by a team of Gazoo Racing specialists. Both concepts are built on a unified platform.

An off-road styling package Basecamp is offered for the American Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport SUV. In the standard Atlas (once sold in Russia under the name Teramont), this set appeared in the list of options back in 2020, but only now it is also available for the shortened version of Cross Sport. The Basecamp package includes a black plastic body kit and original wheels with high-profile tires. You can order this option for $2774.
