Nissan Note Updated In Japan

  • by

Unlike its predecessors, the third-generation NissanNote was originally created to suit the tastes of Japanese customers and is almost unknown outside the Islands. But in the home market, it has long been the best-selling electrified car, because all Laptops are now made according to the sequential hybrid scheme. But the new Toyota Prius is already coming on its heels: if the Note found 96514 buyers in Japan in eleven months of this year with a modest increase of 6.6%, then the Prius has 91927 cars sold and an increase of 226%! To boost public interest, Nissan has restyled its bestseller.

The update turned out to be quite easy. Even the appearance has been changed with only light touches. The V-motion branded radiator grille has lost its frame and now has body-colored horizontal slats instead of large cells. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned. Two new shades have been added to the twelve available body colors — purple and turquoise. LED headlights are now included as standard. Finally, there are new wheel caps with a geometric pattern.

A similar pattern appeared in the cabin — it is decorated with decorative inserts on the front panel and new seat upholstery. A removable partition has appeared in the glove compartment, which allows you to vary the useful space more flexibly. The Intelligent Key electronic key now unlocks the door locks when the owner approaches the car, and locks them when he gets out of it.

Among the options, as before, there is a swivel front passenger seat: It makes it easier for people with diseases of the musculoskeletal system, as well as those who wear a kimono, to get in and out of the car.

There are no technical changes. The Nissan Note is offered with two variants of the second-generation serial hybrid e-Power installation. It includes a three-cylinder 1.2 gasoline engine (82 hp, 103 Nm), which operates exclusively in generator mode. The basic front-wheel drive version has a traction electric motor with a recoil of 116 hp and 280 Nm, and the all-wheel drive Nissan Note X Four has an additional electric motor on the rear axle, which produces 68 hp and 100 Nm.

Nissan will start selling the updated Laptops at the end of January 2024. Prices are already known: from 2.3 million yen (1.46 million rubles in direct translation) for the front-wheel drive version and from 2.58 million yen (1.64 million rubles) for the all-wheel drive.
