More and more Chinese sedans are appearing on the Russian market, diluting the dominance of crossovers. Now the Livan S6 Pro has also entered the market. In general, Livan, formerly known as Lifan, held its presentation back in mid-October at the same time as the X6 Pro crossover. But if sales of “X” began shortly after the Russian debut, then “eski” came to dealers only now.
The Livan S6 Pro is a seriously redesigned 2016 Geely Emgrand GL sedan: the front and rear plastic tail, including lighting equipment, have been changed, but the sidewalls of the body have remained the same. However, we did not sell such Emgrands, so there should not be a feeling of deja vu. And in China, on the contrary, the original car under the Geely brand remained: such a Livan is made specifically for export. The sedan is 4730 mm long, 1818 mm wide and 1480 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2702 mm, which means it is slightly larger than the usual Kia Cerato or Hyundai Elantra models. The ground clearance is 150 mm, the volume of the luggage compartment is 418 liters.
The interior of the sedan under the Liva brand has its own, minimally unified with the original Geely. The front panel is completely new, three screens are located under a single glass. Displays with a diagonal of 12.3 inches each are installed for the devices and the media system, plus there is a small 4.2-inch display with “hot keys” for the passenger.
In Russia, the Livan S6 Pro is offered only with a 1.5 turbo engine in two boost versions. And the only transmission is a seven—speed “robot” with two clutches. Front—wheel drive only, simple chassis – with McPherson struts in front and semi-independent suspension in the rear, the wheels have a diameter of 17 inches.
Three configurations are available. The initial Luxury model has front and side airbags, ESP, leather interior, climate control, blind spot monitoring system, rear view camera, keyless entry and remote engine start systems, heated front seats, electric sunroof. The turbo engine is tuned to 147 hp and 270 Nm. The recommended price of such a sedan is 2 million 550 thousand rubles.
The medium Premium version is equipped with the same engine, and inflatable safety curtains, an electric driver’s seat, all-round cameras, an air ionizer and an electric mirror folding drive have been added to the equipment list. The price is 2 million 640 thousand rubles. Finally, the top version of the Flagship has a boosted engine (174 hp, 290 Nm), with which the acceleration time to “hundreds” is reduced from 8.8 to 8.4 seconds, although the maximum speed is the same (190 km/h). There are no additions to the equipment, but such a sedan is estimated at 2 million 750 thousand rubles.
The cars have already started to arrive at the Livan brand dealer network, which consists of 73 showrooms across the country. But the choice of body colors is very limited: white, gray and blue.
