Lipetsk Motorinvest company has announced the sixth model of the Evolute brand. This is the i-Space crossover, which will also become the first hybrid of the brand, because now the model range consists only of pure electric vehicles. This car is also taken from the widest range of the Chinese Dongfeng concern: the source was the Fengon E5 crossover, which debuted in China a year ago. Moreover, this time the transformation into Evolute did not even require the replacement of logos, because the Chinese “original” also stylized them under the letter “E”.
The seven-seat crossover is 4760 mm long, 1865 mm wide and 1710 mm high. The wheelbase is 2785 mm. That is, the Evolve i-Space is comparable to the hybrid model Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-in Hybrid, which is already on sale in Russia and costs 4.85 million rubles. The triple second row has a longitudinal adjustment and is divided in a 40:60 ratio. The third row of the seat can be folded flush with the trunk floor. If you fold both rows of rear seats at once, you will get a compartment with a volume of 2125 liters.
Evolve i-Space is a sequential hybrid. It is stated that the 1.5 gasoline aspirator installed under the hood works exclusively in generator mode and is not connected to the wheels. The drive is front-wheel drive, and a traction electric motor with a recoil of 178 hp and 300 Nm is responsible for the rotation of the wheels. Acceleration to the “hundred” takes 7.4 seconds. On a full charge of a 17.5 kWh traction battery, the crossover can travel 87 km, and in hybrid mode with a full tank of gasoline, the rated range reaches 1150 km with an average fuel consumption of 5.5 liters / 100 km.
The assembly of Evolute i-Space hybrids will be organized at the Motorinvest plant in the Lipetsk region. Details about the configuration and prices will appear closer to the start of mass production and the start of sales.
